Fox Valley Off Road
A family riding park.  They have woods, a small MX track and a kids track.  Kids track is near the parking lot so it's easy to keep an eye on the little ones.  They have lots of trails for the amount of acres they have.  The trails are friendly, but the hills can be more of a intermediate to advanced rider.  One thing they don't like is loud pipes, so if you have a loud pipe you may be asked to either quiet it down or go home.
Daily riding is $20 per person.
Fox Valley off Road is located in Wedron just North of Ottawa.  (Click the name above for there website and directions)
They have about 105 acres
The phone number is 815-539-9021, Track #is 815-431-9913

Honey Hole Adventures:
People can stay at one of 3 lodges that offer fully equipped kitchens, baths and cable TV, just like home. They are all air conditioned and located in very beautiful locations. In addition to riding there is excellent fishing in the area and all the lodges are already set up for bonfires at night with plenty of cut wood already there. Greg will be offering 3 day packages that include 3 nights stay in a lodge for $250 a person. The riding experience should be wonderful and all the riders will feel like they are on a totally private trip the entire time. Honey Hole Adventures has trails that range in difficulty from very easy and open to hilly, watered, wooded, muddy and challenging. The initial acreage will be about 3,000. They can accommodate a small group of 2-3 and larger ones of 20. Because this is a start up and the idea is to keep it totally private if there are 2 separate groups on the same weekend they will be in different lodges and be riding different spots so they never have to see each other. Of course if a big group wants to ride together that is fine as well. Horseback riding is also available in the area. They will see abundant wildlife such as deer, turkeys, ducks, geese, coyotes and everything nature has to offer in this timbered farmland country. There are numerous excellent restaurants in town that offer affordable dining as well. They will have discounted rates in place for my customers at a few local restaurants. They may add a trap and shooting range eventually but not to start because of the liability. People simply need to fill out the form send a $50 deposit per person and they can book a 3 day weekend or weekday adventure.
You can see more about the area on Greg's partners hunting web site,
www.midwestbucks.com
Greg is the owner and can be contacted at 630.306.7657.  or 23642 E Iron Bridge Road Marshall, IL 62441

Rock Glen OHV Park: North main and Bypass 20, Rockford, IL.
WOW! Rockford now has it's own riding area.

We just rode the new Rocky Glen OHV Park

I will say it's nice and close and beat driving 2 hrs to go riding for 1/2 of day.  The park has over 130 acres of both sandy track to woods with lots of trees.  Not a lot of technical stuff, but enough to keep most people happy.  They have a small motocross track for kids next to the parking area and a big track down in the middle of the lake they have there.  Yes, they have a lake, which could be a blast in winter when it freezes totally.  There is plenty of mud too, as when we were out there they had some rain and areas were very muddy, where other areas seemed to dry out pretty quick.  The trails are marked one way, so you won't go head on to someone.
Pricing:
Currently the cost is $20 per day with a one time purchase of a state sticker that is good for one year.  Flags are required and are sold there.

Chucks Quad Track:

The Wilburn Ruffcorn Farm:
Central IL. It's private property that is owned by a man named Wilbur Ruffcorn, but it is open to the public 365 days a year. Most privately owned places shut down to ATVs when hunting season comes in. Mr. Ruffcorn doesn't. There is approximately 400-500 acres of riding area intermixed among his fields. There are lots of hills to climb, plenty of mud to play in, a nice big rock bottom creek to splash around in, and even a little sand to roost. Not sure how many miles of trails because it is spread out over such a big area. It's a lot of fun though, and a great place to spend a day riding. The charge is $10.00 per person, although he has been known to give "special" family rates. He has discounted rates for 2 day (primitive) camping also, usually $15.00.
The place is located about 2 miles south of Loraine, IL. From Hwy. 61, turn South on County Road 1500. Follow it about a mile, where it will turn to the East. Another 1/4 mile to the first house on the right. There should be a small sign by the driveway. Pull in and stop at the house.
